What threatens production on an ageing line is not performance but uncertainty: components no longer available, undocumented software and systems only a few people still understand. A full rebuild is rarely a realistic option, because for most operations it means an extended shutdown.
Work starts with an on-site analysis of the existing line; obsolete components and software dependencies are mapped. The modernisation is designed as staged migration packages that fit into planned shutdown windows, each with a defined rollback plan.
