Rotary-arm system that wraps palletised loads with stretch film for shipping and storage. The machine is configured after evaluating load geometry, packaging material and line layout.
Application engineering
While the pallet stands still at the wrapping position, the rotary arm carries the stretch film around the load; the film carriage travels vertically to build the wrap between the base and the top of the load. The machine runs stretch film of 15-30 microns, and the pre-stretch unit elongates the film in a controlled way during wrapping. Bottom and top reinforcement turns, overlap ratio and wrap count are selected from the recipe.
It operates between infeed and outfeed conveyors on the line; pallet-present, wrap-complete and film-break signals are reported to line control.
